Rimbey Adult Day Support "Tuesday Club"
Held every Tuesday 9:30 am to 3:30 p.m. in the Provincial Building. Contact 843-2288 for more information. This program is designed to give respite to families and is helpful for the isolated or lonely individuals who enjoy music, crafts, fun, entertainment, & mental aerobics.
Collective Kitchen
Join us for planning and cooking meals to freeze for those busy days. New members always welcome!
Family Resource Centre
This free service provides over 150 different resources to children, teens and adults in the form of books, games, videos and cassettes through a lending library system that is located in the lobby of the Provincial Building. These resources explore a variety of issues important to living a healthy life.
Seniors Information & Referral Service
is located at the Drop In Center. Volunteers are available the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 10 am until noon to assist with forms. Information is still available at FCSS as well.
Home Support Services
are available to those who require assistance with their weekly house-keeping. This program is designed to help senior citizens and those with disabilities with household chores, meal preparation and shopping. There is a fee for this service. Call the office for details.
Income Tax Preparation
is done by volunteers for individuals with low income and simple T-4 returns. There is no charge for this service. Call Moira to arrange an appointment.
Rimbey & District Volunteer Centre
Located in the Provincial Building, our volunteer centre is dedicated to supporting the needs of volunteers, as well as the community organizations that require volunteer help. www.rimbeyvolunteer.ca
Meals on Wheels
are hot, nutritious meals delivered to homes over the noon hour. Volunteers pick the meals up from the manor and deliver them Monday – Friday including holidays. The fee charged is cost recovery.
Babies First
is a program for expectant mothers and offers prenatal classes, nutrition check up, nursing support and breastfeeding support. Call for more information on being a part of this program.
Healthy Families
is a home visitation program for families with new babies. This program supports families in providing a nurturing, stimulating and safe environment for their children. Call to make a referral for yourself or someone you know.
